Video Game: Creaks

Creaks is the new puzzle-platform game released on July 2020 by the Czech indie game developer Amanita Design, already known for Machinarium (2009) or the video game series Samorost (2003, 2005, 2016). It was released on Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade.

In Creaks you are playing a man who discover that a whole new world is hidden behind the walls of his room. He sets out to discover this fascinating universe inhabited by strange creatures. Gradually he learns more about the place and its history, but also about the issues at stake.

Creaks is composed of a series of levels, in which you will have to solve platform puzzles in order to make progress in the history. The level of difficulty is well balanced. You start with simple puzzle that will introduce you to the basics of the game, then the difficulty increase and new elements are added.

As always with Amanita Design games we are evolving in a very creative world. Each details is thought out and nothing is left to chance. You will be surprised to take your time to contemplate the scenery and the landscapes, but at the same time the game knows how to pique your curiosity and you will feel this urge to learn more. All the way you will be accompanied by the beautiful soundtrack composed by Hidden Orchestra. Each track adapts to the level you are at and creates a special atmosphere.

Creaks offers a bubble of poetry in which we slip into to give ourselves a little break from the everyday life. If you intend to play Creaks we recommend to play in a quiet environment in which you will not be disturbed to make the most of the richness of this universe.
